Opinion: Do you have a dry eye "hot button" - for example, is there a condition you feel is often overlooked or misdiagnosed, or a treatment you feel is sometimes used inappropriately? Lid margin disease (blepharitis) is often overlooked. Also, suspect other medical conditions especially autoimmune disease and other medications. What are some of your favorite products for dry eye (Rx, OTC, consumer)? After artificial tears, I favor Restasis and punctal plugs. Also judicious use of anti-inflammatory drops. |
